VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHER | TORQUAY COMMUNITY HOUSE | COMMUNITY FREE LUNCH EVENT | COMMON GROUND PROJECT

What an absolute joy it was to be a volunteer photographer for the Torquay Community House for their ‘free community lunch event in October 2025’.

The event funded by the Surf Coast Council and the food was cooked by staff and participants from the ‘Staying Grounded’ training program, organised by the legends at The Common Ground Project.

These events are such a delight to capture and a wonderful example of how important and vital community houses are. Currently they are under funded and running at a loss. Community houses around Victoria are promoting a campaign - KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN. Please contact your local organisation and see how you can help send a message to the government that we need funding urgently increased.
